Your family's data stays your family's
No ads, no reselling, no extra eyes. Here's what we actually do, without promises we couldn't keep.
Where is the data stored?
The application servers are in Europe, in Germany, and photos and videos are stored in the EU. Lucearia doesn't keep the family's data outside the European Union.
Who can see the photos?
Photos and videos sit in a private space, not at a public address. They open only through a signed link that expires shortly, so they never turn up in a search engine or under outside eyes.
Is the chat encrypted?
Yes. Chat messages are end-to-end encrypted: they travel encrypted and only the family's devices read them. Lucearia uses the Matrix protocol on servers run by Nebello, and not even we can read the contents.
How does location sharing work?
Location sharing only turns on if you choose it, and each member can switch their own off whenever they want. Location history is deleted after a short window, not kept forever.
And children's data?
For minors' accounts, Lucearia follows the parental consent required by Article 8 of the GDPR: a parent gives the consent and manages the child's access.
What we don't do
- No ads, on any plan.
- No family data sold or shared with advertising partners.
- No advertising profile built on the family members.
